  • First Aid Level 1 is a requirement of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993. This is enforced by the Department of Labour.
  • The requirement is a minimum of 2 first aiders per company, building, section or level. The minimum ratio is 1:50.
  • First aid is a life skill that should be learnt by as many people as possible within a company or at home.
  • A person needs to re-do their first aid course every 2 to 3 years depending on the certificate issued.

Certificate:

  • Department of Labour accredited
  • Issued electronically after successful completion of course
  • Valid for 3 years
